Today was the first of a two day dog sled race in Walker MN. The race started on Leech Lake, the third largest lake in MN covering approximately 112,000 acres. There were several divisions including the 2 dog junior race, skijoring with 1-3 dogs and up to the 10 dog pro race. It was over 40 degrees today causing some dogs to overheat. There were around 50 race teams, hundreds of snowmobiles, and a couple of airplanes flew in to view the race.
