We visited a larger village with a military base and a medical/dental care facility. One of our group was a retired dentist, so the caregivers at the clinic enjoyed showing Leo, not only their equipment, but their bottle of pulled teeth. The tables in the photos are the dental/medical patient tables. There was an opportunity for some great kid shots as they warmed up quickly. I was surprised to see volleyball being played as even the smallest villages we visited had a soccer play area. Feeding one of the village cows kept the young boys pretty busy. The older lady with the bottles in the background was working in the local bar/liquor store where you could buy Cachaca, the Brazilian, fermented sugar cane liquid ( rum ). The last couple shots are from a local store and a fisherman as we were heading back to the the motherhship.
