During the end of May, I traveled to southern OR and northern CA to attend a photo course taught by Marc Adamus. This is the second course I have taken from Marc. Last year I attended the waterfall course he teaches in the Columbia Gorge. Since I was driving through the gorge again, I stopped at Hood River, known for its high winds, which draws wind surfers from around the world. I also stopped at Multnomah Falls, the second highest year round waterfall in the states. The water drops a total of 620 feet. The course started on the beach in Bandon OR, we then crossed the border into northern CA, where we spent a couple days photographing the Redwoods and the rhododemdron bloom. The course ended photographing the beach at Trinidad. Unfortunately the weather did not fully cooperate as we did not get the ocean sunets we were hoping for. There were two other photographers taking the course, Richard, a retired professor from California State University, Chico and Dave, an architect from Berkeley. During the trip home I passed through the Painted Hills in OR and Glacier Park in MT. Due to the snows in the park, the Going to the Sun road was not open. The trip lasted 15 days and I logged 4870 miles.
