I traveled back to England in March to participate in another metal detecting tour hosted by Steve and Haley owners of Norfolk Metal Detecting Tours. The group consisted of detectorists from the east coast, Indiana, Texas, California and Minnesota. Many in the the group had been detecting in England for many years. The typical day started with breakfast and Steve picking us up around 08:15, we stopped by a supermarket and picked up food items for the day. We then drove to different fields in the area to detect. We would depart the field and head back to the hotel at 5:30.
The first photos show the group, the Stag dining facility, the pub and bistro. The next group of photos show us in the fields detecting. The next group are some of the finds. The photos were provided by Steve as while we were detecting, he would photo and identify our finds. The photos show a small portion of the number of finds the group was able to locate. We traveled back to London on Saturday where most made flight connections back to the US. I stayed in London and took the underground rail into downtown London and spent the day at the British Museum. The last group of photos show a few of the treasure hoards that have been found in England and some other images taken in the museum.
